Undergraduate Capstone Open Source Project (UCOSP) , Self Development (Jan 2011 - Present)

  • Participated on an open source project with teammates across Canada through UCOSP
  • Implemented a quick search feature by using a jQuery autocomplete widget to make search quicker and easier for users
  • Added JQuery's autocomplete widget to the main search and a RESTful API resource and improved the UI to display the desired results when user types in search field
  • Self taught to gain experience with Python, Django framework, JavaScript, CSS
  • Completing general bug fixes, hacking away for testing, and adding new features

Android/Desktop Game Development

Universium - Academic Project (Jan - April 2012)

  • Developed an University simulator game for Android/desktop from scratch using the Libgdx framework with a group of 5 students
  • The goal of the term was to design a game idea and features and implement the game while following good software development practices such as maintaining realistic goals during development cycles under time constraint.
  • Ways to manage the project include writing proposal, requirements documentation, implementation plan, risk analyst etc...

Eclipse Plug-in Messenger

Academic Project (Sept - Dec 2010)

  • Designed group project in Java through using Scrum/Waterfall practices
  • Developed the messenger through using the Smack API and Eclipse API
  • Discussed with team members and drawn class diagrams based on the requirements
  • Written a SRS document based on interviewing for the functional/non-functional requirements
  • Followed good programming practices such as refactoring, commenting code

Ultimate Rules Trivia

Personal Project (Oct 2011 - Present)

  • A Ultimate rules trivia game that I created out of HTML and JavaScript out of my own curiosity to learn more about JavaScript and HTML5
  • Uploaded as a Facebook App: http://apps.facebook.com/182650911815265/
  • Currently under development. Next phase would include fixing layouts to make it prettier and integrating with Facebook API

  • A simple tool written in PHP that checks for regex patterns and inputs.
  • Created this simple tool while learning more about regex.
